Without question, Foster has one of the most successful longstanding careers in Hollywood, having appeared on such iconic TV series as Gunsmoke, My Three Sons and Mayberry R.F.D. – and films such as Freaky Friday – in her youth, before making a stark transition in her early teens to more mature subject matter like Taxi Driver.
